Kerry Meek, Head of RE

Heanor Gate Science College has a thriving RE department staffed by four members:
  • Kerry Meek, in charge of RE since September 1998
  • Sue Reynolds who is also an Assistant Head
  • Neil Wilkinson-McKie, who has just joined the Department
  • Margaret Beasley who assists with Key Stage 3.

Sue Reynolds RE in KS3 (Years 7, 8 and 9) follows an interesting and varied syllabus based upon the guidelines set down by the new 2003 Derbyshire agreed syllabus.

At KS4 we offer a full GCSE course in Religious Studies (Philosophy & Ethics) and also a GCSE short course in Religious Studies (Philosophy & Ethics).
