Updated 2 Apr 2008 The Surrey Rowings All Rowings so far traced from the South East have turned out to be descendants of a Johnathan Rowing and an unknown wife about whom little is known but who apparently lived in Hingham Norfolk around 1725. Their relationship to Johnathan is through Archibald Rowing and his wife Sarah (nee White), primarily through their son Thomas and his wife Mahala (nee Payne). Thomas, all of his children except Stephen moved to what is now South London but was then part of the County of Surrey. Stephen moved to Kent. There were also two cousins William who was the son of Thomas’ brother Stephen and Daniel son of brother Daniel Watson
