This is the complete family Peter is the child in the pram.
After their marriage the couple lived in their father's house at 244 Brockley Grove, Brockley.
After Herbert William died, the house in Brockley was sold and Frank and Edna rented a house in Bexley Heath. In 1939 they began to buy the house in Riverdale Road Bexley Heath where they remained for the rest of their lives.
After the end of the Rowing Engineering Company, Frank went to work as an engineering draughtsman at Frazer and Chalmers engineering works in Erith. This ocmpany was subsequently taken over by GEC.
He was unfit for military service during the war because of high blood pressure. He did become a member of the LDV (Home Guard).
He died prematurely through a medical misdiagnosis. He was diagnosed as suffering from food poisoning when in fact he had appendicitis. He died of the consequent peritonitis.
This incident left Edna the task of raising two children alone.
Hilary subsequently married David Hobson an the couple now live in Grassington in the Yorkshire Dales.
Peter married Maria Ibergarary who was Spanish. Their first child was born in the UK before the family went to live in Spain.
They now live in Valladolid
