	George Parker later to become George Parker Rowing moved to Doncaster in the mid 1850’s with his first wife Rhoda in order to work on the new railway. He moved down to Surrey after Rhoda’s assumed death eventually re-married and moved with his second wife to Nottingham. George’s brother John moved to Doncaster presumably in order to improve his work prospects. He did return briefly to Norfolk but, all in all, spent most of his life in Doncaster becoming a publican. The eldest of the three Stephens was a tailor by trade who moved to Doncaster round about the same time. Beyond that, two sons of George above from his second marriage moved to and settled in Doncaster after their father had left both Doncaster and Nottingham and had returned to Norfolk. Two other families moved into the Leeds area. These were possibly second cousins of George. Starting with them:
