Each year the survival rates for childhood cancer improve but this momentum desperately needs research and research needs money. £12,000 was has already been raised for the Royal Marsden Children's Department Fund in memory of Max. This fund provides research into children's cancer and also provides equipment for the Children's Cancer Unit

If you wish to make a significant donation then it is possible in the U.K. to offset the donation against Tax. Details can be obtained by contacting your local Inland Revenue office. This number can be found in your phone book in the 'Business and Services' section under 'Inland Revenue'. Ask for form R190(SD). The Inland Revenue are very helpful and will give you the telephone number for the department which deals with charitable donations
