I started this list so that I could track the organisations that I had contacted to request links to this site.
I then realised that this might be more useful on the web and set up
this indexed page to cover all sites I visited. If you would like me to add a link to your site, if
you discover broken links or
you have comments on this page then
please contact me at - |

www.bloodnet .nbs.nhs.uk
National Blood Service
| UK | The National Blood Service is supported by voluntary blood donations. I started donating blood after Max's Leukemia treatment because I was so aware of the difference that vital blood transfusions made to his treatment. I think that during the period of his treatments he received about 25 pints of blood or blood products. I am greatly indebted to the donors who made that possible and I am trying to repay that debt. I have given 15 pints so far (March 2001) and will eventually give back that and more. If you live in the UK please consider giving blood, you could make a difference and save a life. |

Intel, United Devices and Oxford University
| USA and UK | This is a research program sponsored by Intel that is searching for new drugs to treat leukemia and other cancers. You can help save a life by downloading software which will only run while you are not using your PC. The software performs calculations in order to identify molecules that can be effectively used to target cancer proteins. There is no cost to you and there are currently over 350,000 people participating in this research. It is thought that the collaborative use of PC's around the world could cut the research time from 12 years to 5 years. Please, please take part, every little effort in the battle against children's cancer is so important. |
