M.F.R.S Recenttly hosted a visiting party of amateurs from Landshut in Germany which is the twin town of the local city

The club set up the caravan for the visitors in a field near the town of Lossiemouth ( almost opposite the military base ) and a contest weekend followed with 999 Qso,s being worked which was quite good given the rather poor DX conditions

A party was held in the Grant arms to welcome the visitors from landshut above can be seen local amateurs Geoff ( MM5AHO ) , Ali ( GM0EIT ) , Archie ( MM1DVB ) , and Davie ( MM0DAT )

Also on the same weekend M.F.A.R.S provided radio coverage of the local marathon and half marathon and here is a picture of the eventual winner passing me, at this point ( only about 5 miles after the start ) he is already well in the lead and the gap between the first and last to pass this point was an amazing 45 minutes.
Several local amateurs provided coverage of the event each being stationed at different points along the route of the runners the whole operation being managed by our local xxx controller Dick ( GM8AZS ) who was stationed in the Cooper park in Elgin
