I recently received an e-mail from Colin wilson ( G0MGW ) about the passing of his father which he has asked me to circulate to MFRS members
My father Doug Wilson G3VCQ passed away suddenly on the 31st of Jan this year. Originally from Macduff but did live in Fraserburgh and Galashiels for a while retired in the early 90,s to Barton-sea-grave with my mum ( Ena ). I am just trying to inform some of his old pals such as Sandy in Macduff and Peter GM3PIP in Mintlaw etc. Im aware that he joined/listened to the SCOTNET on 7.090 and some callsigns that may remember him are George GM3GG ( George ) , GM3UBJ ( Bill who is my dads brother Rons wife Jean in Vancouver brother in law ) ( if that makes any sense ) GM3SJE Hamish in Stonehaven, GM3AHR Alex and I know Irene GGM0FTX in Perth will remember him well. If you could help pass on the sad news to everyone I would be most gratefull.
I have applied to transfer his callsign to myself so I hope to hear G3VCQ on the air for many years to come 73
