3           Uniform

The Beaver Scout uniform comprises a Beaver Scout sweatshirt; Navy Blue Cargo trousers: trainers. The scarf and badges will be supplied when your child is invested at a cost of £7.50.

4           Investiture

This is a ceremony when your child is formally welcomed into the Scout movement and receives their membership badges and scarf on making their Beaver Scout promise. Investiture normally takes place after 3-6 weeks attendance. Parents are welcome to come and watch their child being invested.

5           Subscriptions

The cost per term, which includes a Capitation fee, is £18.00 per term. This should be paid in full at the beginning of each corresponding school term.   Cheques should be made payable to the 5th Colchester Scout Group.

Subscriptions will commence immediately after your child has been invested on a pro rata basis.

6          Beaver Scout Colony Rules

Unless otherwise told, the Beaver Scouts are expected to turn up in their full uniform.

We expect each Beaver Scout to behave in a manner that befits the Scout Movement. If any Beaver Scout continuously misbehaves they will be suspended for a period, normally one-week. In extreme circumstances we may contact the parent or guardian to collect them immediately.
