The Cub Scout uniform comprises a Cub Scout sweatshirt1; long, black or grey school trousers; black shoes. The scarf and badges will be supplied when your child is invested at a cost of £7.50 (not applicable if moving from our Beaver Colony into the Cub Scout Pack).
This is a ceremony when your child is formally welcomed into the Scout movement and receives their membership badges and scarf on making their Cub Scout promise. Investiture normally takes place after 3-6 weeks attendance. Parents are welcome to come and watch their child being invested.
The cost per term includes a Capitation fee of £12.00 and subscription of £1.00 per week which works out at approximately £23.00 per term. This can be paid in full at the beginning of each corresponding school term or by £12.00 the first week and a £1.00 a week thereafter. Cheques should be made payable to the 5th Colchester Scout Group.
Subscriptions will commence immediately after your child has been invested on a pro rata basis.

· The Cub Scout Handbook1 · Change of clothing (rough gear) · Personal First Aid Kit · Handkerchief · A length of rope (not nylon or string) for knotting |
· Trainers/Wellingtons (appropriate for weather conditions as we often go out in the spring and summer terms come rain or shine). · 2 * 20 pence piece for emergencies · Note Pad & Pencil |
Unless otherwise told, the Cub Scouts are expected to turn up in their full uniform and with their Personal Kit.
We expect each Cub Scout to behave in a manner that befits the Scout Movement. If any Cub Scout continuously misbehaves they will be suspended for a period, normally one-week. In extreme circumstances we may contact the parent or guardian to collect them immediately.
