Estuary District Carol Service
This
years Estuary District Carol Service will be held between 3-4pm on Sunday 5th
December 2010 at ‘Eld Lane’ Baptist Church. Cubs should aim to get to Eld Lane
by 2.55PM. All parents and family are welcome to come and join in or can
continue with their Christmas shopping, if they so wish. There will be a
collection for a local charity. We would like to see as many Cubs as possible at
the ‘Carol Service’ and if anyone needs a lift, please let us know so that it
can be arranged. Please note that there is no parking at the Church, and charges
will apply in the Town car parks, so please try to share lifts if at all
possible.
Please wear uniform, but feel free to Christmas trim- tinsel, stars, bells, hats etc.
Christmas Entertainment for Milton Lodge Retirement Home
Monday 6th December

The
5th Colchester Scout Group (Beavers & Cubs) will be providing some Christmas
entertainment for the residents of
Milton Lodge Retirement Home (288-290 Ipswich Road). Please arrive at 6.15pm
for 6:30pm start, we will finish at 7:30pm. Please wear full uniform, with some
festive attachments. The session will last approximately an hour and parents
might like to take the advantage of shopping at one of the supermarkets in the
area before collecting your child at 7:30pm.
Group Outing to Colchester Zoo
Saturday, 11th December
Those Beavers and Cub Scouts attending the Colchester Zoo trip should arrive at the museum at 10:00 in FULL UNIFORM and with appropriate clothing for the weather. They should bring with them a day bag with a packed lunch and a drink. There is a shop at the zoo but please limit spending money to £5.00 which should be held in a secure place (purse). We will finish at 15:30 when the Beavers and Cub Scouts will be ready for collection. Please let the leaders know if you have any difficulty with transport.
Group Christmas Party
The
Group Christmas Fancy Dress Party will be held on Monday, 13th
December between 18:00 and 20:00.
This will be the last meeting for the Group this term and we therefore wish you all A Very Merry Christmas.
Winter Term
Beavers will meet again next term on the 11th January and the Subscription will be £18.00.
Cub Scouts will meet again next term on the 10th January and the Subscription will be £24.00.
Cheques should be made payable to the 5th Colchester Scout Group.
