Projects

Here I will update on any of the projects I am doing, they will mostly be college photography projects but should include stuff thats going on with my band 'Dirk Benedict and...' 'thedeletedscenes' and any other random stuff that I get myself involved in.

Well the band has changed its name to 'the deleted scenes' or thedeletedscenes as i like to put it, i've made a nice website for it here. We've been practising for ages and i've been trying to figure out the bass for the songs but as I didn't have any recordings at home I kept forgetting what to play. Anyway I think i've managed to get stuff together, it's pretty hard for me as I seem to be playing lead but with bass but hopefully it will come out as something quite original. Me and Dirk recorded some stuff without drums so I can keep practising and improving the bass, we wanted them on the net for people to listen to but they're pretty crappy so you won't get to hear anything yet unless your special.

Photography stuff has been non existent :( I do have a little idea though, the golf course behind my house has been closed down because they found out that it was contaminated with crap as it's built on a dump, it's all pretty much fenced off but it's still looks easy to get on there, i'm hoping to go on there sometime to check out how deserted it is and get some landscape stuff done. I also want to just go out for a walk and get some shots around this town, I can't really go very far without feeling ill though, which is a shame but if at any time I start to feel better something will be done. Lastly i've been requested to take some photos from someone special to me, no names sorry but i'm going to try my best to do the photos for them.

On the film front I might be joining in with making something for a friends drama project in uni, i'm unsure of any details so that's all i've got to say on that matter.

Me, Scott (Dirk) and Neil had a band practise on Wednesday, which went pretty well, we got the basics of 2 songs done and recorded on his laptop so they can be worked a bit, i'll see if i can upload some little snippets so I can show off my funky bass skillz (HA) Scott went through a couple more songs and worked out some drums with Neil while I tried to fall asleep.

We are currently deciding if we should change/modify our name but i'll say more about that at a later date..
