Ramsbury and Wanborough
Surgery
Appointments
Patients will need
to have an appointment to see a Doctor or Nurse and this should be
made before coming to the surgery. A number of appointments are
reserved each day for patients who have conditions which need to
be seen at short notice i.e. urgent. The Surgeries are open on
Saturday mornings to deal with immediate health needs and patients
should not expect to be seen for routine matters.
Patients are actively encouraged, wherever possible, to see their
usual doctor because this helps the continuity of the care
provided.
To make an appointment
A dedicated telephone line has been installed at both surgeries
for the purpose of making appointments with the Doctor or Practice
Nurse. The Appointments line for Ramsbury Surgery is Marlborough
(01672) 521234 and for Wanborough Surgery is Swindon (01793)
790527. These lines should be used whenever you wish to make an
appointment.
Wanborough Surgery is closed during the afternoons between 12 and
4pm. Calls to Wanborough will be automatically diverted to the
Ramsbury surgery during these times.
Home
Visits
Requests for home visits should be made between 0830
and 1030 to the General Enquiry number at either the Ramsbury or
Wanborough surgeries. Home visits should only be requested for
those who are physically unable to come to the surgery.
Out of Hours
Out of normal surgery hours, a Doctor is on call for emergencies.
This Doctor may not be from this Practice. Please remember
that evening and night work is in addition to their normal working
days because they do not work a specific night duty, so only call
if your problem cannot wait until the next working day.
