LINCOLNSHIRE FREECEN PROJECT

The aim of this, together with other county projects, is to provide a “free to view” searchable database of all the UK  19th century  Census Returns of the whole country.

Volunteers from all over the world are working on the project. In the first instance, the return is transcribed which is followed by a checking procedure. The work is then put through a final validation procedure before being uploaded to the FreeCEN database. All these procedures take time and we require more people to help us work towards our goal.

If you have some spare time and willing to help us I would look forward to hearing from you.

Software is provided together with tutorials and volunteers can subscribe to various “helpers” lists.
