Trinity Church Waterhead - Saturday 14th May 2011.

A small but appreciative audience spent this night when the Eurovision
Song Contest was on TV being entertained by MLC and also raising £259
towards church funds. Our hosts gave MLC £50 to donate to a charity of our
choice and we decided on this occasion to add this back into the pot towards
church funds They liked us so much they’ve asked us back to perform again
in November......See you there!

MLC 10th Anniversary Bash - Saturday 30th July 2011.

This event should have been our first festival :-) since Failsworth Carnival
but the weather got the better of it and the venue came inside to the
Daisyfield pub. It was a bit of a squeeze but MLC performed to an
appreciative audience who kindly offered us £100 that we quickly donated
back to the community group to help with projects they currently have
on the go.

Another small but appreciative audience spent this night being
entertained by MLC whilst raising £230 towards church funds. Our hosts
again offered MLC a donation for us to pass on to a charity of our choice
and we again decided to add this back into the pot towards church funds.
Possibilities of a return visit in Aprill 2012 have been discussed.

Ladies Evening @ Shaw Masonic - Saturday 26th November 2011.

Now a fairly regular gig for MLC we returned a fifth time to provide the
entertainment for another Ladies Evening hosted this time by Adrian and
his good lady Marilyn. Our appearance had an added dynamic because
Mike, Alan and Bernie provided a romantic musical accompaniment for
the presentation of ‘The Roses’.  An appreciative audience also showed
their due regard that the donation of £300 that we might have taken was
instead donated to the lodges ‘Balls and Boobs’ cause - supporting
charities researching cures for testicular cancer and breast cancer.

Co-Op Christmas Party for Venture Arts and Manmchester People First.
Tuesday 13th December 2011.

Moston Labour Club, Xmas Party  - Friday 16th December 2011.

Another appreciative audience spent a night celebrating at Moston
Labour Club’s Christmas Party for club members. Everyone enjoyed
she super buffet and the three bingo sessions jn the middle of our two
sets. It was great to be asked to do an encore and we were happy to
oblige after giving our Christmas songs another airing. These party
goers were certainly ready to dance their way to Christmas.

Back at St Edwards to help Kathleen and her family celebrate her 80th
birthday. With relatives coming from Ireland it was an honour and pleasure
to provide the entertainment for this birthday bash . Quite a few people
said they really enjoyed our performance and choice of setlist. Kathleen’s
Family kindly donated £150 that MLC will be passing on to Dr Kershaws
Hospice. If any pictures are forthcoming they’ll be posted here soon.
