What does being President of the Central Council involve?
It involves lots of things! As with any organisation, the President is the public face of that society. As President of the Central Council, I meet with other organisations such as English Heritage and the Council for the Care of Churches, to discuss anything which may involve or concern ringing. My job also includes running the actual Central Council meeting. As well as this, I have to be aware of what the other committees are doing. If any larger projects are happening then I'll get involved in those too.
Do you enjoy it?

I have been a representative on the Central Council for 12 years, and I have also been on the Education Committee. I helped with the 'Ring in 2000' campaign, and that inspired me to become President.
To hold a position on the Central Council, you have to already be a representative for a Guild/Association. Which Guild/Association are you a representative for?

Do you have any tips for future CC Presidents?
