Flamingo hotel general information

In the first few minutes of my arrival at the Flamingo hotel Benidorm I was greeted by screaming women that a chair had been thrown from one of the top balconies of the hotel.

During my stay at the hotel I witnessed damage done by some of the guests to equipment supplied.  Pool table green cloth ripped, corner pocket damaged and removed, pool cues damaged, and other damage to the pool table.

Both air hockey table tops badly scratched to stop the discs sliding across the table and other equipment was treated badly.

There were some children using the lifts as toys and one screaming in panic when he was trapped between floors, but this was not a deterrent for others.

There were under age children drinking alcohol that had been given to them by older teenagers.

At night while guests were watching the entertainment, certain guests found it amusing to throw glasses, light bulbs, boiled eggs, plastic containers containing burning material and boiled sweets fired by catapults down on the guests below.  Granted that one teenager was caught and he and the rest of his family were evicted, but again this was no deterrent as it occurred again the following two nights thrown from the high balconies by other guests to the guests below.  It got to the stage where the hotel security were powerless to do anything, so a group of around fifteen men joined together as vigilantes to find who was responsible, but they too failed in their search.

Three hundred yards from the hotel a young man of 20 years old was murdered by four unknown assailants, apparently he was beaten until he bled from all orifices and his body was badly cut up and his money totalling ten euros taken from his pockets

If you are looking for a quiet relaxing family holiday, then I suggest that you try Cyprus
