My "First Hand" experiences with Disabled Access

Levante Beach Area Benidorm

I found that as I travelled around the Levante area in my electric chair, it was fairly wheelchair friendly with drop down kerbs and flat areas.

The main problem was the local shops, a lot of them had steps or one high step and I was unable to gain access, which was quite frustrating at times having to sit outside the shops waiting for the rest of the party.

On the beach front it was quite flat, but a lot of the cafes or coffee shops again I found impossible to gain access.

There are platform boards in certain places on the beach to allow access for wheelchair users.

Overall, I have now been to Benidorm twice, once in my manual wheelchair and once in a hired electric wheelchair.  I will not be returning as in my honest opinion, twice was too much.
