Award winning holiday cottages

Hello Mike,

Just thought you would like some feedback on our holiday at Dalegarth. The heating system was more than adequate and even with poor weather the comfortable cottage, beautiful peaceful surroundings and friendly folk of Yorkshire made it one of our best enjoyed holidays.

We met a friendly hedgehog wandering down the lane from Dalegarth. He/she came right up to the wheelchair sat on his hindquarters sniffed it then ambled into the garden with the scarlet tent gazebo. I suffer from poor health and when I am unwell it is quite usual for people to be wandering around in T Shirts and me to be wrapped up like the proverbial dummy.

On our last holiday in the vale of Yorkshire the disabled facilities were excellent but the heating system was almost non existent during a typically British cold/damp summer week (until we asked for it to be switched on and then it was poor and expensive.)

Unfortunately I was bed-ridden mid-way through this previous holiday and roughed it out with a hot water bottle. Each of us has our own requirements but going on holiday seems to require almost expedition planning. This is why sites such as yours and Dalegarths on the internet are so helpful.
