The Skies of Pleasurable Desire © by Michael Levy
There's a heavy silence this breeze-less early morn,
A contrast to the chaos, the day cities were born.
Not a breath of air, the stillness of each leaf,
The splendorous picturesque landscape, beauty beyond belief.
The solitude is perforated by a happy mockingbirds
song,
A prelude to the chorus, that will surely join along,
And sure enough, the air becomes magically transfuse,
Via the ambiance of a choir, with technicolor, coordinated
views.
And now the scene is attuned for the Sun to take it's
cue,
Conducted by a timekeeper, united to earths milieu,
The horizon suddenly awakens in a blaze of sugared crimson fire,
Flames of warmth radiate, across the skies of pleasurable desire.
A butterfly is formed, it's wings begin to flutter,
Magic is in the air, Love and Joy embrace one another,
The world has come alive, souls rejoice in dimensions drifting
higher,
Spirit orchestrates a unity, beneath the skies of pleasurable
desire

TRUE SPIRIT. by Michael Levy c January 2002
True spirit cannot be crushed,
True spirit cannot drowned, cannot burn, cannot die,
True spirit will fight for peace,
True spirit will march for justice when there is injustice
but will never cower to "evil" intent,
True spirit will fight pollution,
True spirit will fight corruption,
True spirit will protect life from "evil" beings
by providing the tools to protect,
True spirit will envelope a human
so they can still live IN LOVE AND JOY
through All of the above chaos and much, much. more.
Live with Spirit and live the truth.

The Psalm of the Soul by Michael Levy April 2002
Disclose no secrets oh! woeful burdens mine,
Because a mortal is only a vacant fantasy entwined,
The shams of each battle takes us on our singular way,
But it is the delights, not heartache that light our path,
Preordained by diamonds in Spirits mystical, multi-facet array
Behold; behind the heart lives a soul that sleeps in
the dark,
And will kindle its light of grace when we become aware,
of magnificent illuminations in the spark.
Life is authentic...... but the ego is a masquerade,
Life is a pledge....... but the intellect can breach the promise,
Somber is not our meaning and our fate is but a dream,
>From ashes back to ashes, our facade ... our gloss, from dust
to dust,
Nevertheless the psalms of the soul is eternally contained,
In Gods legitimate trust.

A Merry Old Soul by Michael Levy February 2002
I suppose you might say I look antiquated, but I don't
feel it,
Strange is it not?
You would think I would be showing my age by now,
After all; I have been around for a lot longer than three million
years.
What's that I hear you say
"How can that be?'
How can that not be, for I have nowhere to go.
Whilst it is true I persistently change my roles,
I still enjoy every one of them come what may.
On the surface,
it could seem there is a lot of havoc and mayhem
in my existence,
But it is just that; Only on the surface.
Many of the characters I play appear to be enduring
life,
Running around like headless chickens,
Taking things; Oh! so seriously,
Worries and anxieties abound.
And I sense it all and yet; I still love life's
featured charades,
The make-believe world of deceits and lies,
My, my; What pretense. What grievous dis-ease's of the mind.
I'm glad it is only fabricated illusions.
It fashions a variety show of drama, adventure, comedy
Not to mention sorrow,
"No! please don't mention sorrow" I hear you cry,
Well, I did mention sorrow, for it all seems so real to the
personalities I play,
Good Game; Good Game.
You see; I have no need of pipe or fiddlers three,
For no matter what....... I Am A Merry Old Soul,
For no matter what........ No matter lasts,
Hee hee....... Sorry but I have to chuckle,
For in reality.... I will always wonder freely,
It looks like it's the end of another innings,
Pull up the wickets and change the rules then.
I presume I'll have a heavenly rest stop.
An episode of doing nothing in my true attire of vacuity,
It's all the same to me, It's all so sublimely divine,
What a great boss I have and no wages of sin.
I must slip into something a little more comfortable,
I guess it's time for a cup of spirituali-tea,
Bring on the elixir of life
Be a dear and pass the honey. M L

The Importance Of It All By Michael levy copyright May 2000.
The faces in them there clouds' a'hem,
Were once the orators of choice,
But now the creme de la creme' amen,
No longer have a voice.
The visions of the past- Oy Vay,
Too soon did aristocracy drift by, the buy and bye,
The towns may be busy night n day, O'Yay!!
But no longer do we hear the crier- cry.
The views of the Hoy-Full-Oy,
Are as empty as can be,
Top hats and tails held respect old boy,
Now the space elite, is taken by a flea.
Oh! theee importance of it all-toot
toot,
At the time all society did agree,
Just a pinch of snuff when the gentry call-hoot hoot,
My Lord Ladies and Gentlemen-what remains? no corpse can see.
Why I do believe it's time for afternoon tea. One lump or two.
'TIS THE SEASON
By
Michael Levy
Here comes Santa the white bearded wizard,
delivering packages even in a blizzard,
advertising media making our wishes come true,
a one day wonderland with a fairy story right on cue.
Corporate images, snow fakes, no rain dear,
a red nosed magician that makes cash disappear,
a fantasy charade that seems quite sincere,
presents from toy land, listen how the Directors cheer.
White Christmas faces, stockings filled with bills,
holding lots of plastic, jingle bells ring the tills,
merry shoppers on a spree, digging deep with glee,
brainwashed to be funny,'tis the season of goodbye-money,
Ho, ho, ho what fun, it's a terrific game,
pockets now empty, the bank account's quite lame,
debts piled high, the Bank Manager's going insane,
so I'm "hissing" off to the Bahamas and Santa can take
the blame.
