O, Beautiful Is My World!
O, beautiful is my world since you came to me~
You have opened my eyes to love, to all the scenes of beauty...
For before I met you, and love was not mine,
The roses did not bloom, the sun did not shine!
The honeysuckle had no scent, the moon was not sailing
up above~
Ah, those sad times before I had your love...
And then love came, and happiness too,
From the words on your lips, and smiles from your eyes of blue!
The touch of your hand upon my brow~
Told me of wondrous things I knew not until now...
You taught me all about love, and started a song in my heart,
For this was the beginning of my true life of which you were the
focal part!
Ah, my beloved, how I love you~
With a love that's forever, a love that's so true...
Whatever it was that told you to come,
Be it angel or spirit, it told love to come home!
And forever and ever, love so entwined~
Lives of two people, together forever, yours and mine...
And I stand here in my bridal dress, a hand holding me gently
around my waist,
A hand of truth, of joy and love, endless as the heavens up above!

How To Keep An Idiot Busy!
Forgive my feeble efforts, God, at
trying to be a poet~
I am just a foolish, inane woman, and trying not to know it...
I keep myself busy by writing things simple, not profound,
Hoping that someone, somewhere, in them, happiness will be found!
I should get the message that my
writings are not great~
And people don't even bother to read them, but after so many
writings, this knowledge comes too late...
Perhaps it's not just in the writing; perhaps it's not in the
content,
Perhaps it's not in what I write, but it's in something I
sincerely meant!
This typing keeps me busy, away from
the evil things I could do~
Like gossiping, and making trouble all my unimportant life
through...
I think the idea came to me, from some wise angel up above,
That it's better to sit and type on this machine, than to ramble
and rove!
So, forgive me if what I write bores
you~
If you don't like it, please just don't read...
It's my simple way of having a little enjoyment,
And it's like planting with unresponding seed!
My writing poetry is exciting to me~
It thrills me and makes me dizzy...v It reminds me of a game
children play,
Called How To Keep An Idiot Busy!

If Something Magical!
If something magical could happen to me, if fate were
on my side~
A big white horse would bring you to me, and you would take me
for a ride...
And we would ride over the prairies so wide, and the wind would
blow in our hair,
And we would be so enthralled at all the lovely blossoms we see
there!
We would just trot along, and have a happy time~
And we would be so close together; I would hold your hand in mine...
And at me, with blue eyes of love, you would send a melting
glance,
And perhaps with cupid's luck, at love we would get a chance!
We might stop at the spring, and wade barefoot in the
water and enjoy its very cool delight~
And if perchance we might fall in love, who knows, we might
decide to spend the night...
We would sleep beneath the twinkling stars, and the moon would
gift us with his wide smile,
And we would share kisses and wild berries, as we romanced with
each other all the while!
And I would have a smile for you, and you would have
one just for me~
And in your beautiful dark fringed blue eyes, what love in them
would I see...
And we would not even have to speak a word, to know that love had
come our way,
And as we slept through the beautiful night, we'd be ready for
the dawn of day!
And the sky would be magnificent, in hues of gold and
maroon and pink~
And we would enjoy it immensely, and not worry what the animals
would think...
For they would be watching us with admiration in their wide and
wondering eyes,
To see all the love that had come down from heaven for us under
such beautiful skies!

God's Gifts!
Today is yesterday's tomorrow, the beginning of the
rest of my life~
It is my duty to make it happy, and not make it one of strife...
For some things God give to me, his gift to me is the day,
And my gift to God is to make it happy, as I go my merry way!
God's gifts are not to be taken lightly, they are the
most precious gifts ever to be found~
They are filled with many miracles, the gift of flowers, the
fountain flowing, and the gift of the bird's sound...
The things we take for granted, man can never duplicate,
And yet, the gifts from God are priceless, nothing less than
simply great!
God gave to me a family, a father and mother so dear~
And it was His intention for me to love them, as long as he left
them here...
He gently lays in my arms the warmth and fuzziness of my cat,
To lovingly love and care for, oh what pleasure there is in that!
He gives me a clean bed to sleep in, and handsome
husband to treasure and love~
My husband gives me golden gifts and baubles to fill my treasure
trove...
And yet, sometimes, I doubt Him, oh what a fool can I sometime
be,
For in those times, I must be blind, for heaven I can't see!
But my heavenly Father overlooks my faults, and He
loves me even still~
He loved me when I was born, through my life, and love me, He
forever will...
His love for me is his most wondrous gift, but it is only the
beginning, the initial start,
And because I know my Father loves me, I feel the gift of
happiness in my heart!

An Angel Named Susan!
Ah, God gifted me with love, with a child so loving,
such a treasure trove~
A child with loving feelings just for me, in her blue eyes, an
angel do I see...
She gives to me such angel gifts, that give my wilted spirit
refreshing lifts,
Such beauty she bestows, one seldom sees, pure beauty unexcelled,
from her to me!
She is so trustworthy, so free from guile, how I
appreciate this wondrous child~
When she first arrived, I loved her so, but that love compares
not to the love she now shows...
The gifts she picks for me are so divine; she matches them to
wishes of mine!
Purple magic reflected in magic flame, in it,
breathtakingly, I see her name~
Who, but she, could know me so well, who my desires and wants
could tell...
Magic gifts of amethyst so clear; tell me that once a fairy did
appear!
Oh, beautiful one, beloved, so dear, my life is grand
as long as you are here~
What would life be, if I had not you, indeed, so sad, alone, and
so very blue...
Gift of God, she is destined for God's land, precious one who
doth understand!
And magical things she does bring to me, but she is my
gift for all eternity~
With hands that caress and lips that kiss, O child of love, my
happiness...
And when I look into the candle flame, I am entranced, and not,
as before, the same,
For I see loving smiles in beautiful loving eyes of blue, and
indeed, precious child, the gift is you!

I Promise!
Promises are like butterflies that flutter in the
breeze, words of love and commitment, like a song sung by the
wind in the trees~
Soft words like yellow butter that tantalize the taste buds on
your tongue, that melt a loving heart to whom you meant no harm...
Words of promises mean I love you, and tell of the dreams in your
heart, promises so lovely and ethereal, that of heaven they are
surely a part, And with all these lovely things brought to mind,
I promise to be gentle with you, my dearest one, and to always be
nice and kind! I promise!
I promise to say only things that will be soft and
handle your feelings like a marshmallow does bring happiness~
I promise to always be straightforward to you, and never, never
make you guess...
I will never hurt your feelings, and if perchance, in error, I,
unmeaning to, cause you pain,
I will take you in my arms and kiss you, until your happiness
returns again!
I promise!
When I see that you are unhappy, for whatever the
reason may be~
I will hug you gently, and tell you how much you mean to me...
I will never break your heart, my life will be a melody sung only
for you,
It will be an aria of all the beautiful things I see that God has
made, and I will sing it just for you!
I promise!
And I will see to it that you will always believe me,
I will put contentment with me in your heart~
I will be so true to you, and because of what I do, your
teardrops will never have reason to start...
For love is a two way street, on a street that leads from me to
your house, so nice,
And my love for you will grow and flourish, like a flowering tree
that emits lovely perfume, I promise!
Yes, my promises will be like lovely bluebirds that
fly happily around your beautiful head~
Like a sonata played on heaven's harp, by a beautiful angel,
where only beauty does tread...
And my promise will be good forever, yesterday, tomorrow and
forever and a day,
Because your happiness means so much to me, and my heart is
overflowing with joy because you have come my way!
Yes, to you, I make this promise!

But Wishes Are Horses!
Down lover's path I went with you, and it was
beautiful all the way~
Beautiful sunny times in your majestic garden, made for a very
wonderful day...
For love was ours, and we thought it was here to stay, but much
was there we could not know,
For winter came, and our love died, and roses cannot bloom in the
snow!
Perhaps I was not the one for you, but that I could
never know~
I tried to make you happy all the time, but the day came and you
said you just had to go...
And alone I sit here, tears in my heart, just biding my unhappy
time,
Wishing all the while that you had truly loved me, and wanted to
be only mine!
But wishes are not horses, and even if they were, they
are too wild to catch~
And love is not really love, unless the desires of the lovers
exactly match...
And on this sea of sadness I drift, in my oar-less, tiny canoe,
I cannot get the thought out of my head, that life would be
wonderful is I only could see you!
But dreaming will not do the trick, I have to forge
the path alone~
And without you the road seems endless, and my heart does not
have a home...
The tears, they come and go, and when they are not falling, my
eyes are painful and dry,
Why did heaven send me such a god, and then take him away without
telling me why!
Perhaps, somewhere down the line of life, my prince
will appear to me~
But that is just a dream of mine, I know, and such a dream could
never be...
And I will pluck a rose or two, and look deep within its beauty
so bright,
And tell heaven I would be happy if God sent you back to me,
perhaps in the magic of the night!

When You Start A Fire!
Sometimes in the dark of night, and it seems that
things have cooled down~
You put your arms around me to warm me, because I am in my thin,
silken gown...
You want to keep me warm, and of your love I never tire,
But, don't you know that when you do this, you are really
lighting my fire!
And when you add kindling to the flame, it begins to
brightly glow~
And then you begin to kiss me and you tell me you love me, which
I already know...
And you just keep touching me, and the flames get higher and
higher,
And, darling, with your gentleness, you're really lighting my
fire!
And with a little care, things begin to get really
hot~
And when it does, don't get cool and act like a touch me not...
Because you have started something, an actual entire forest is
ablaze,
And my passion is ignited, and I am deep in passion's craze!
And I turn my lips to you, and you kiss me until my
breath is gone~
And now the fire is big and bright, and I want to stay in its
glow until the start of dawn...
Things have gotten out of control, the flames of love burn higher
and higher,
And I lose control of my emotions, because you have lit my fire!
And don't you know the rules are written, that when
you start a fire,
you are obliged to put it out~
And when it comes to controlling it, you are a master fire-fighter,
without a doubt...
And anytime you want me to burn, and you fill me with desire,
Just remember it is your duty to put it out, when you start a
fire!
