The Field Of Dandelions!
The yellow, melting sun flowed down, like
butter melting in a pot, it's rays gently caressing my skin,
being so soothing and not too hot~
For nature had beckoned me to come and see the beauty it had
wrought, and here in the glen by the picturesque hills, I found
the wonderment I sought...
I was clothed in a beautiful, filmy dress of succulent yellow, my
heart was at rest with the world and I was feeling grand and
mellow,
I walked by the clear, cold stream, so pure as it flowed over the
mossy rocks, not bothered with the things of the world, not
intimidated by such things as clocks!
The azure sky was flawless, like a rare and
valuable sapphire stone, and it's beauty was made even more
ethereal with a flock of white doves of it's own~
Beautiful flowers of many different kinds made up a dreamy place
for me, so happy was I, I laughed and danced and dreamed of magic
things to be...
I took my time and followed the well-worn path that was made by
the deer through the grass, and suddenly I came to a sight that
was of the most excellent class,
For acres and acres of the meadow of which I stood at the line,
were millions and millions of buttery flowers, the gorgeous
yellow dandelions!
And I knew something special was going to
happen to me on this special day, how could I know I would
meet the love of my life as he came my way~
For there in the middle of the mellow, yellow flowers, stood the
most handsome man I'd ever seen in my life, the start of magic
that would be ours...
He came towards me, and he had the most beautiful smile, I
knew that if he would only ask me to, the whole day, I'd
stay with him all the while,
And that is what he did, for he had the most winning ways, and we
spent the day together where the deer and antelope play!
For something had inspired me, I know, to
wear this special yellow dress today, it was certainly
magic for me to match the beautiful dandelions that way~
And together, he and I, sat down on the ground, laughing and
enjoying ourselves, and me made me a necklace of the yellow
flowers so round...
And he kissed me on the lips, and although it was my first kiss,
I didn't feel funny, oh, no, he had the sweetest lips, just
like the finest honey,
He even made my finger a ring with a dandelion in the middle, as
a katydid played us a romantic sonata on its little fiddle!
And as I gazed into his beautiful blue eyes and
he gazed into mine, I knew that forever and ever, this
Adonis would always be my only valentine~
For we were blessed very specially that day by none other than
our precious Father above, because we met in the field of yellow,
mellow dandelions and we fell deeply in love...
And we made promises to each other that we knew we would forever
keep, for he was what I was looking for, and I knew
that I was the one he did for so long seek,
And on our wedding day on a glorious spring day that forever
we thought of so divine, I carried a yellow bouquet and the
preacher married us in a field of bright beautiful dandelions!

To My Beloved Prince Charming!
I wasn't the prettiest girl in the world, and I didn't have any fancy clothes~ I didn't have any fancy ribbons for my hair, and I didn't have any fancy golden sandals to show my painted toes... But, I guess it didn't matter an awful lot to you, because you seemed to like me a lot, And I liked you too, and that made my skies a beautiful blue, and you were what I got!
We didn't have much to start out with, remember, babe, we didn't even have a car~ But you and me, together, we were great, and we hitched our wagon to a star... We got married on a shoestring budget, without much money, but, sweetheat, we were so rich, I had you and you had me, and in our little home, we found a peaceful niche!
People said we wouldn't make it, but like people everywhere, they didn't know all that much~ How could they know what true love can do, when the lovers have that midas touch... For there is gold of one kind, and then there is another kind, And the gold tha was in our hearts was so rare and wonderful, that thinking we were poor was the last thing on our mind!
For, darling, our gold was made of purest love, and when you have that kind of gold, you can climb the steepest hill~ And there is no force that can hold you down, our love gave us the strongest will... For the ones who watched us could not see, that we were beautiful to each other, They could not see that you were a prince, and I was your princess, and for each of us, there could never be another!
And our love buoyed us on to the greatest heights, we created and we achieved~ Our ambitions and dreams carried us to the top, simply because we truly believed... Our live was like a beautiful fairy tale, it is a story of the greatest romance in the world, It is a novel of the very most exciting dreams realized that could ever happen to a simple boy and girl!
