Mike's Chanukah Tips of the DayThe following is the text of a message I sent to Bectans on 1/12/98 I can't be sure that all the links will still work! Not only is Christmas coming so is Chanukah. Jewish people all over the world will be lighting the first of 8 daily candles at dusk on the evening of Sunday 13th December. There are a number of websites dedicated to Chanukah and you can find out all sorts of things - traditions, history, stories, customs, foods ... . A good place to begin is Ben and Jerry's Winter Holiday Page at http://www.benjerry.com/yule/index.htm which has information and links about other winter festivals, too. (Unfortunately, Ben & Jerry's Winter Holiday Page no longer seems to be available in 99 - The rest of their site is worth a visit for ice cream lovers, though)
