My Family...

Judith
Judith and I met when we were mere children (well teenagers) and have never looked back. We were married on 16th August 1970 and have two children, who are ...
Ben is 24. He went to school at Therfield School in Leatherhead and then to Sheffield University, where he  maintained the solvency of Sheffield's pubs and clubs, and managed to achieve an Upper Second Class Honours Degree in Biomedical Sciences into the bargain. He has now taken up full time payed employment as a Trainee Vascular Scientist at one of the major London teaching hospitals and has moved away again to live nearer to his work. He considers that he has really left home this time.
Ben plays guitar, piano, clarinet, digeridoo and hi fi, so the house has now become not only strangely tidy but also strangely quiet.  When he was at university, Ben became a keen participant in the sport of Ultimate, which is a team game played with a frisbee (or disc, to give it its proper name). He played with the University Ultimate team, known as The Phat 'Eds and is now looking for opportunities to play in London. If you want to know more about the game of Ultimate try looking at the British Ultimate Federation's Website or go to What Is Ultimate? which explains the game and its history. He has also returned with two new skills. Poi and Shiatsu massage. (We have decided that he only goes for activities with strange names!). Here are few pictures of Ben and his flaming poi (This page will open in its own window Close the window to return here).

Leo is 19.  He too attended Therfield School and has just taken up residency at Liverpool University where he is reading Sociology. Following in his brother's footsteps Leo enjoys acting and not long ago played Kadmos in a production of Euripides' The Bacchae, a role which enabled him to demonstrate his considerable abilities as both comedian and tragedian. The play was performed as an assessed piece in front of an audience containing not only the examiner, but the chief examiner, too (who, it seems, was examining the examiner!) Like his brother, Leo is also very keen on music and has been developing his skills as a guitarist at an amazing rate (well, not so amazing considering the amount of time he spends practising).

We also have ...

Picture of Billy Billy who as you can see is a rabbit. He lives in a hutch in the the garden in the warmer months and in the garage in colder parts of the year. Billy likes to dig holes to get at the tastiest grass roots and tunnels, which we assume are an escape attempt. Having managed to make the garden a little more secure lately we have been able to let Billy run free while we are home. Now he digs holes in the lawn parts of which look very much as if it is a recovering remnant of the Somme! Billy, who is now 7 years old, actually belongs to Leo although we all share in looking after him.

And here are pictures that I took in 1998 of my Mum and Dad, Golda and Keith.
(They don't look much different now).
