Gabrius now is in the Plains Of Despair.  He has lost a skeletal mage at this point and is fighting a Pit Lord.  This creature is very much like the Venom Lord except that it does not have a poison attack, but hits harder. On a low end machine, a fight like this WILL slow the computer down.
