After a three year extensive and costly refurbishment, the world-renown La Scala Opera House in Milan will be re-opening it's doors. On December 7th, current music director Riccardo Muti will conduct a new production of Antonio Salieri's Europa Riconosciuta (Europe Revealed), directed by Luca Ronconi. The restored opera house will be back in full operation from April 2005, when the company will move back from it's current quarters at the Teatro degli Archimboldi.
