Paris - LBO France Acquires Libertel Hotels From ABC
LBO France acquired the 28 Libertel Hotels owned by ABC Hotels.
This is a joint venture of Accor (30%), Blackstone (35%) and Colony
(35%).
Located in Paris, the hotels comprise a total of 1,835 rooms.
The hotels are:
Libertel Elysées Ponthieu Grande Tradition, Libertel Terminus
Nord Grande Tradition, Libertel Terminus Est Grande Tradition, Libertel
Résidence La Défense Grande Tradition and Libertel
Lafayette Grande Tradition
The above listed properties are going to be rebranded “Mercure
hotels”
Accor will continue to manage these units under a management contract.
The other 23 hotels, totalling 1,103 rooms, will retain the Libertel
name.
Under a distribution contract, Accor will
market the hotels via its centralized booking system, websites and
Mercure Guide. They will be managed by Finhotel, a company created
for this purpose by LBO France.
Finhotel’s Management Board is chaired by Jean-Louis Charon,
Chairman of Citystar Capital. Gilles Douillard, Chairman of Groupe
de l’Hôtellerie and a member of the Finhotel Management
Board, will serve as the company’s Chief Executive.
