Rezidor SAS Announces First Radisson SAS Hotel in Rome

Brussels -- Rezidor SAS, announced that it has signed a management agreement with the ES Hotel in Rome to convert and re-brand the hotel Radisson SAS. The hotel, slated to officially re-open as the Radisson SAS Rome in early 2005, is located in the center of Rome, within walking distance of many of the main tourist attractions and close to the Airport Express train at Termini Station. It has 235 individually designed guest rooms and 27 suites, all with plasma screen televisions, DVD players, cable channels and high-speed Internet access.

The hotel is currently undergoing a comprehensive brand review and refurbishment project. Once the property is in complete compliance with Radisson SAS brand standards, it will be officially re-branded the Radisson SAS Rome and integrated into the company's portfolio. Designed by Jeremy King and Riccardo Roselli, the ES Hotel opened in 2003 to critical acclaim and has since won many awards. The hotel is known for pampering its guests and has been described as a new concept in luxury accommodations, where style, design and technology blend with outstanding service.

The hotel’s rooftop restaurant, Sette, is complete with a cocktail bar and lounge. Three high-tech conference rooms can accommodate up to 500 people, and can be transformed into photography or television studios and fashion catwalks. All conference rooms offer broadband WiFi, giant screen projectors and plasma monitors. The hotel also has a spa, outdoor and indoor fitness areas, a rooftop pool and a 450-space underground parking garage. Room rates start at 225 Euros (approx. $290 U.S.) per night.
