An extremely useful site that gives a brief summary of Chinese music history.  There is also lots of helpful and clear information about the instruments used with great pictures.  


World Music - China

A text heavy site, however there is lots of detailed information that is very informative.  This site gives information about Chinese musical structure, the history of Chinese music, Chinese instruments and Classical Chinese music.  Worth a visit.


Chinese Folk Tunes

Chinese folk tunes using midi files.  A varied selection of pieces to listen to.  


Chinese Festival and Dragon Lore

Background, lesson plans and activites for Chinese New Year, Superstitions, Lantern Festival and Dragon Lore.  The text is fun to read and teaches us about Chinese traditions and beliefs.  A very worthwhile website.
