Classical Music
1750-1810
At the moment year 9 are
studying Classical music with a focus on triadic melodic patterns and
composition. By the end of this half term all year 9 students
will have performed Eine Kleine Nachmusik by Mozart and the Surprise Symphony
by Haydn. All students will compose a set of variations based on
Haydn's Surprise Symphony. Most will compose their own variation
(without the help of a framework on the worksheet) and add chords and
some will add a bass line and several variations based on their own
creative ideas. |
You will be assessed
on your composition this term. Everyone will be expected to hand in a neat
copy along with a min project about Classical music. Weekly homework
will provide the content for the projects.
