Calabashes are highly valued in Grassfields custom. It is in calabashes thst palm wine for the Grassfields Kings (Fons) is preserved for conveyance to the palace. It is from the calabash that palm wine is used for ceremonies like marriage or rituals involving libations, etc. The name of the craftsman is unknown. |
