This figure was done by John in 1982 in Kumba, South West Province. It depicts an old man smoking, using a pipe (king in Lamnso). This piece is one of John's masterpieces although he did not fully complete work on the object before his death in 1996. He still had plans of working on the object, that is why you find the object with feet cut off and the fingers looking brownish white. He personally liked this figure very much. For the rough finishing John used a mixture of sand and glue.
