Circle Dance is a form of international folk dancing which aims to create 'the community' as well as celebrate the traditions of central and eastern Europe through its seasonal rituals in music and dance.
Sometimes called Sacred Dance,
it takes the rhythm of life and belief, and weaves it into a body prayer.
Sometimes slow and meditative, with gypsy rhythms, lines and spirals, or fast, often very fast! we dance for the joys and hardships, we support personal and community transformation, with ancient and new music and steps, interpreting ideas with movement.
I theme dance evenings on the seasonal celebrations using traditional dance forms, from the Balkans, Russia, Armenia and France

We will have a Friends of St Nicholas fundraiser in March 2010

I am currently planning workshop days from my Merkavah 2009 Dance trip to Israel and Palestine, where we learned dances from groups from the muslim, jewish and christian cultures, and a Gypsy Dances session.
All information will be posted here,
and emails sent out to my mailing list, once organised.
