Round 1 - The Defence of Caildhun Fort
Eoghann: Battle to free a fort illegally held on rightful Camshron lands in the Cloudspine.

After our offer for a Marach surrender was met by a hail of breĠUnor missiles, we sent Camshron Brigands to the east and west gates. Various light attacks on the front gate failed to draw the enemy and resulted in many Camshron casualties - including a Fire Wizard with ideas above his station! After a group of drunken Clan Berserkers gave away our east gate position, our Brigands panicked and attacked. The west gate Brigands hearing the death screams in the enemy held fort argued whether to attack and eventually did - most died in this mis-timed and half-hearted attack from Wizard Fire. Our remaining power - a Wizard of Fire and a Dwarven Mortar died needlessly under mortar fire from their battlements.

Our commander was Kuul Vaer Missingtoe, and he is to be hanged for poor tactics and failure to poperly command his troops in the great Camshron manner. A terrible defeat that needs must be avenged!

Marach: Report by Commander Bran Col Maltoch:

The assault upon Caildhun Fort began when a rogue Ghol breached our wall, intent on assassination of Wizard Gmir. A series of attacks followed, each more intense than the next. Our dwarf mortarman earned his pay by keeping many at bay. The final assault, though costing us nearly two thirds of our men in defence, was ultimately brought to nothing, and we remain in wait to see what more the enemy can muster.

Round 2 - Second Defence of Caildhun Fort
Eoghann: Ethran Eoghel, foot soldier:

As soon as they heard we were coming, we could hear the dull thud of their battlement canon fire. As we got closer the sound became deafening... the drum beats of hell. Not many of us Regulars trusted the new commander - he was too easy with the Ghols. He favoured a more direct approach to combat - but their battlement defense was too strong. Our final rush was a disaster. I now hear Garioch has ordered reinforcements to our camp, and has vowed to take Caildhun from the Marach within the month...

Marach: Report by Commander Bran Col Maltoch:

Replacements for the men killed in the enemy's previous attack on Caildhun arrived in plenty of time, and this time we were ready. As soon as we had word that Camshron troops were in the area, our dwarf mortars fired regular scare-rounds. This time, the main attack was on the gate. A few early skirmishes resulted in few casualties. When the main attack came, chaos broke out, but our dwarf mortarmen again tipped the balance. We still hold Caildhun.

Round 3 - The Fall of Caildhun Fort
Eoghann:

Our new commander, Brechel, is a cold hearted man, and a patient one. We ate away at the enemy gates, picking off single men rather than platoons of Murdach. The men were fidgety. When told of our Third Mosshill Troops being massacred at the west gate, all Brechel said was 'That makes things easier here." Whatever his ways - they worked. We now hold the Murdach mountain stronghold... but for how long?

Marach:

We have lost Caildhun Fort, which was fast becoming a symbol of Marach resilience against the Camshron might. How, we cannot say. For much of the battle things were going our way. We held off several attempts with our heroic dwarf mortarmen, and even Dilgrus the Wizard destroyed close to an entire troop of enemy warriors. Suddenly, they attacked our gate and east flank at once. One dwarf blew himself up, and fate turned against us. Bran, the commander, died shortly before the end.
