Key Stage 1....

The following are topics are aimed at Nursery and KS1.  The first topic lays the foundation for all subsequent topics which can be taken in any order.

Each topic includes a variety of structured games, flashcards and worksheets with full teaching notes and ideas for classroom activities. All material is available electronically to allow the teacher to print material as and when required.  Full printing, assembly and playing instructions are given for each game.    


Topic 1 - "Colours, Numbers and Objects" 

“Colours Numbers and Objects” Printable resource CD;

This CD-Rom contains printable resources which will teach Colours, Numbers 1-12 and Objects.  Along with our feature children, Nick and Sophie, there are 12 familiar objects as well as relevant easy phrases and some simple grammar which are introduced mainly in the context of travelling to France, with a trip to Paris.

  • Make your own structured full colour and black/white card games for group activities which encourage speaking and listening skills, such as Number bingo in colour, colour lotto, rainbow dominoes in black/white, a choice of black/white or full colour snap cards for objects and numbers, and for matching pairs. Suitable for groups of up to 8.

  • Pupil’s workbook of 20 structured worksheets containing simple black/white line drawings suitable for colouring and counting activities as directed by the teacher using the accompanying teaching notes. Older pupils can practise reading and writing skills with these exercises.

Topic 2 - "French Market" printable resource CD including audio guide

This CD-Rom contains printable resources which will introduce nursery and Primary pupils to vocabulary needed for shopping at a market in France. It gives the children a very real taste of an authentic cultural experience of everyday French life as the growing, buying, preparation and appreciation of food is central to the French way of life. Full instructions are given as to how to make a Market Stall with fruit and vegetables for use in shopping games.

Numbers 1-12 and some of the colours are practised again in counting activities based on the fruit and vegetables introduced in this topic.
