Introduction

This is a PC based concept mapping exercise on the possible causes and consequences of global warming using DHTML.

Aims of this activity

To aid and analyse conceptual understanding in relation to ideas explored in the previous series of activities on global warming.

Activity notes

DHTML allows the user to rearrange the text on the screen. Main ideas should be placed in the ovals and connecting ideas placed on the lines. Students can print out their responses for marking. This is quite a demanding activity.

Printing problems: laser printers reproduce the rearrangement as it appears on the screen. Inkjet printers often fail to reproduce an accurate copy of the students work.
