ABOUT NANNIES
We are able to provide full time daily or live-in nannies, as well as part-time and nanny shares
Although each position will vary, in general Nannies are responsible for nursery duties only (including all aspects of childcare, i.e. ironing, washing and cooking for the child). This arrangement may be slightly more demanding if a Nanny lives-in with the family. As the house should be treated as the Nanny's home, they are, therefore, expected to keep their own room and the house in general tidy. The same rule applies to daily Nannies also, but it must be underlined that a Nanny is not a cleaner or a housekeeper (unless otherwise stipulated and agreed in a contract.
The Nanny must also be responsible for stimulating your children and encouraging each stage of their development (both physical and mental). Interaction with other children or babies of a similar age is also extremely important, therefore, a steady routine must be established compatible with the children's needs.
To provide a balanced, healthy diet is of utmost importance and must be maintained throughout
With very few exceptions Nannies cannot have self employed status and it is up to the family who employ them to register with the Inland Revenue with a view to paying Tax and National Insurance Contributions. Nannies Plus provides guidance on this issue along with minimum wage requirements and contractual obligations
