The Anglo-Omani Society was formed in January
1976, and is now incorporated in England as a
private company limited by guarantee, reg. no. 6708685. It is registered as a
charity under reg. no. 1127561 and its registered office address is Somers,
Mounts Hill, Benenden, Kent TN17 4ET.
H.M. The Sultan of Oman is the Society’s patron,
and the President is H.E. the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman in London.
H.M. The Sultan has most generously made a donations to the Society, and
this has been used to fund events and make grants that
meet the charitable objects of the Society. The Chairman of the Society would
welcome applications for further grants, or specific proposals for use of this
fund. Applications are considered by the Committee of the Society
at meetings held throughout the year, and a report on the use of the
fund is made at the Society's Annual General Meeting
