Parklands allotments were created from small packet of farm land either side of the former access road to Moulton Park Farm
when the neighbouring Moulton Park Industrial estate was constructed in the early 1070's.
The site is accessed via a single track road, which joins Coppice Drive near to the shop's and the Spinney Hill Vetenary Hospital.
The eastern boundary of the site is defined
by a footpath and cycle way, which was constructed with the aid of a donation from the Telfer's Food Group who at the time had a major
operation on Moulton Park. This path runs along the edge of a protected spinney containing a variety of broadleaf and coniferous trees,
which are now contained within the grounds of the Thomas Becket Upper School.
To the west of the site are the Parklands and Spinney Hill housing estates, constructed in the early 1950's and expanded several times since.
The Northern boundary to the allotments is to a section of parkland and football pitches, which are normally accessed from the Spinney Hill
community centre on Devon Way. Directly beyond the park is Talevera Way and the Moulton Park industrial estate.
