The Club
Presently Aylsham Wanderers have three teams. The First Team play in the Lovewell Blake Anglian Combination Division Two, the Reserves play in the Reserve Division Two section whilst the "A" Team play in the Nicholsons of Stalham North East Norfolk League Division 2. A Club Programme is produced for most of our First Team home matches, courtesy of Jetprint with Club news and match reports for all teams. .
General Standards and Principles
Aylsham Wanderers is an amateur club where football is played not only to win, but for enjoyment, friendship and a sense of achievement. Equal respect is shown to all club members from all other club members. Club loyalty is paramount, responsibility is shared by all members, with hard work and commitment the norm.
Coaching and Training incorporates;
We have regular training and whilst as an amateur club this is restricted to pre season and evenings we take it seriously and the main aspects covered are a] diet, b] physical training, c] technical coaching, d] skill awareness and tactical understanding.
Financial
Financial stability and growth is vital for an ambitious club and with various fund-raising activities and the impressive Match day programme we are in a sound state, although we will always need more funds as we develop.
Administration
The committee is a friendly and positive group of people who have the same aims, but we are always looking for additional positive people to join and aid our development.
Aims
At Aylsham we play to win and we would like to see the First Team in the Premier Division, the Reserves in Reserve Division One and the "A" Team in NEN League Division One, assuming the league structures remain the same. We concentrate on bringing local players through who will hopefully progress into the senior team, but we always welcome new faces. Our relationship with the Aylsham Wanderers Youth team is strong and one which we wish to continue to develop. We do have a qualified FA coach at the club, but we would like to encourage as many qualified coaches as possible to join the club and as many current players as is possible to become coaches or join the management team. We are always looking to upgrade the clubs equipment and facilities and our plan is to have a floodlit training area ready for next season.
In Conclusion
Our idea of a successful club is not all about winning, although we are a very competitive club . Players and management alike have all made a commitment to a football club where the development of players and teams leads to a sense of achievement, friendship, community and enjoyment. What has been stated above may seem idealistic and we will not achieve our aims in one season. It will take a concerted effort over a period of time, but we have a great foundation and we all enjoy ourselves. There is great potential at Aylsham Wanderers and all of the members, whether players, management, committee or supporters all have the club's best interests at heart.
