Membership

2008 Membership is now available. Members will recieve a membership badge, regular newsletters and can join the society at any outmeetings we attend.

Existing members

Existing members please remember to bring your Membership Card when renewing your membership, failure to do so will result in a charge of £1 per card. Existing members can renew their membership between September 1st 2008 and December 1st 2008. Membership renewal costs:

Adults - £10
Children - £3

New members

All new members have to fill out a membership form these are available to download below, please fill this out prior to purchasing your membership New Adult Members require a proposer and seconder by two existing adult members. Child members must have an adult member sign for and take responsibility for them. New membership costs:

Adults - £11
Children - £4

New membership can be purchased between September 1st 2008 and October 24th 2008. New membership will not be available on the night of our celebrations.

To become a new member, please complete a membership form and return it with payment to 22 Firle Crescent, Lewes, BN7 1QG.

Pioneers & Costumes

This section is to inform members of the costumes that our members wear.

First Pioneers - Medieval
Medieval became a society pioneer costume in 2001.

Second Pioneers - Valencians
Valencians have been a society pioneer costume since 1986.

Third Pioneers - British Military (1900-1950)
British Military (1900-1950) is a new pioneer costume for 2006.

Smugglers
Nearly every bonfire society has smugglers all with there own society's colours. Our society smugglers wear green and white striped woolly jumpers and white trousers. Remember - Rugby shirts are not a traditional smugglers costume.

100 Club

Want to win cash prizes while helping the society to raise funds, well join our NJBS 100 club. There will be one draw each month with prizes of £30 and £20, except the December draw which has big prizes of £150, £80 and £40.

*Prizes quoted are for a fully subscribed club of 100 members.

The club costs £15 to join for the year, that just £1.25 a month. The draw is open to all members and friends of the society. You may join as many times as you want to improve your chances of winning. The first draw will take place at our January meeting, so make sure you have joined by then to be in with a chance of winning.

The Fuse News is the newsletter for society members. The last issue was September 2007, if you are a member and didn't receive it, let us know your name and address, so we can send one to you. requestfusenews@njbs.co.uk
