September 23rd - hi -
Been a while since I don't know when... Liverpool was
fun and Preston I thought one of the best so far.
Got home very late afterwards, Lyn was in Spain for the
weekend but the kids were home.
Did a short rockabilly DJ spot at the Monarch on
Saturday night. The night is called "Not then same old
blues crap" and run by Rupert Orton, brother of Beth and
guitarist in the fantastic Gaffer Hexham.
Sunday I took my Mum and Aunty and the kids out for
sunday lunch, met up with Alain Sunday evening for an
hour, he looked very well and was itching to play. Then
I picked up Lyn and Deb up at the airport at midnight.
Mixed
an album
for an old mate's band "the midnight howlers "on monday.
Tied up a few loose
ends Tuesday. Wednesday flew out to Los Angeles
rehearsed some new songs up Thurs and Fri. Then Sat I
got the news of Morrissey's ill health and decided to
fly home for a week and then fly back out to Washington
on Monday, couldn't get a flight til sunday night . So
been back a few days. Just heard the album's gone
platinum in the UK thanks to everyone for buying it!
cheers
bb
