Rick and Ron being welcomed at the car park Stephen Baddeley kindly let us use his Explorer Scout Unit's slot on the car boot sale parking rota at Carpet World in Hanley, and Leaders from the District Team and a number of Groups helped with the car parking during the morning. Many generous donations were received from members of the public.

In addition, Rick and Ron walked from Basford to the car park (about two and a half miles) with laminated flooring donated by Carpet World fastened to their feet. They were accompanied by Scouts and Leaders collecting along the route.

The collection on the day raised £348.10, with a further £80 being collected in sponsorship - a total of £428.10.
