Movements

This section contains a variety of material concerned with bridge movements.

They are often special movements created for a particular event, but may be fairly normal ones that are presented (hopefully!) in a clearer way that makes them easier to use.

There is also a section on remedies for those occasions when a normal movement goes awry due to missing or misplaced boards etc.

2. Teams of Four Movements

    1. Movements for a Club Teams or Handicap Teams Event played over a number of heats.

       These movements may be used when it is required that each team plays a match of, typically,

     14  boards against each of two other teams during each heat. With an even number of teams, the

     final heat consists of only one match for each team. With an odd number of teams and in order

     that  each team should have an opposing team to play, a triangular arrangement is used in which

     one  group of three teams play each other during each heat. This is further described under "three

     teams  of four"
