If you want to be the best-dressed woman in town, then no event is too daunting for Lesley.

I was invited to tailor the Ceremonial Suit for the New High Sheriff of Buckinghamshire. The brief for this has its own traditional constraints.

The fabric is a Bilberry colour Silk Brocade especially commissioned and woven in England. The single breasted fitted jacket displays filigree buttons while genuine Nottingham Lace was used for the collar and cuffs. These are detachable as the High Sheriff requested a suit to wear after her term in office.

The paneled A line skirt makes a very wearable outfit for many occasions.
To complete the outfit I made a cape, lined in a matching silk Duchess Satin with an accompanying bag of the same fabric.
