The Home on the Hill
Welcome to my website.
The Home on the Hill is on a small hill in Warwickshire, with a lovely garden on a South facing slope.
I live here with my partner and our two children.
I aim every year to be self-sufficient in veg, but never am! I'm also trying to improve the ornamental aspect
of the garden which was somewhat overgrown when we moved in five years ago with very little gardening knowledge.
There's a lovely orchard of some 40 trees, plus lots of soft fruit that is due for renovation.
I also enjoy the basic family cooking that always has to be done. My cooking is plain and simple - nothing fancy
- but lots of it! I hope to include some recipes under the kitchen section, and some of my favorite links.
If I'm not in the pub, or surfing the net (I'm an addict!) then I spend my evenings sewing so there are some piccies
of the projects I'm most proud of on the Sewing Room page.
The Still Room is the space I've left for everything else - such as my Damson Vodka recipe.
