Vire BVR Marine Engine
Main Bearings

These are the main bearings removed from the crankcase

I went to a local brearing supplier and paid a sensible price for these, unlike retail from the dealer. in this case thewy supplied 'S' type which meant i had to flip out the 'S'ealing cap on one side before use with a screwdriver (the vire needs unsealed bearings to allow the fuel/oil to lubricate the bearings when running.. Ask for '6306'. you can pay twice as much for stainless, but i dont think it is neccesary unless you let sea water leak into the crankcase for months.

Seen here also are the matching seals 'MFC TC 30 52 7 3' ask for '30/52/7'

you will need 2 seals and 2 bearings trade cost is £28 the lot, retail £150!(Jan 2004) but now you know the numbers you should save a packet, and hopefully save a rumbling old masterpiece, instead of throwing it, but if you must - throw it my way will you(see contact page), as I will make best use of your BVR.

I bought mine from
