Hi,
My name is Nova. I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease in December of 2001. I'm currently on Asacol, and other then a few Flares every so often, seem to be doing okay.
I live in Florida, am married to Harry, and have 3 children.. Joshua, Erin Rebekah, and Jacob.
I'm also a Grandma to Joshua #2, Anthony, Gabriel and Lucas !
I enjoy hiking in the woods, raising poultry, growing a garden, fishing, camping and being outside as much as possible !
If you've come to this Board to meet great people, share experiences about this nasty disease, make friends, etc., then you've come to the right place! I'm so thankful I found it myself, and care deeply for everyone I've met here.
My best advice to anyone with Crohn's, U.C, etc., is to try to live each day to the fullest, and laugh~ A LOT ! If not, it tends to take over your life, like it almost did mine when I first got diagnosed! I was so scared, and SO misinformed. Read a lot, but not "too much", and ask lot's of questions!
