Vienna
A dawn flight one Tuesday morning found us in a city of pure majesty. Vienna has so much, five days was not enough time to do it justice but we did our best! One day we will return to revisit favourite places and to see locations we missed first time around.
One of our first sightings: Vienna Opera House, a huge and awe ~inspiring building.
A favourite place ~Secession, a modern art gallery ~ the dome and the decorations are gold - a stunning sight when you first encounter it.
Karlsplatz railway station ~ also decorated with gold!

The most amazing chandelier and ceiling inside Belvedere Palace ~ this is where most of the Gustav Klimt paintings are and I took this photo before I realised that cameras were banned - whoops!
