Schonbrunn
One of the highlights of our visit to Vienna was the amazing Schonbrunn Zoo. Set in the grounds of Schonbrunn Palace, a truly magnificent residence dating back to Napoleon times, the zoo is a beautifully designed home for an incredible range of creatures. It's the oldest existing menagerie in the world.

A wonderful MeerKat ~ posing for the cameras!

Ring tailed Lemurs - fun to watch, spot the two babies.

A four day old baby elephant - very unsteady on his feet.

A lone polar bear ~ we felt sorry for him as it was a hot day.
